From age 24,he managed his family–owned freight forwarding company, then at age 32, used his passion for sport and health to cofound his UK sports enterprise. He built and sold the company in 2006 to achieve his dream of settling in Australia.

Louanne Wakefield
Customer Service Manager
Louanne is a highly motivated and extremely organised individual with ten years of experience in indigenous and diversity-based sports administration. She manages finance to event planning, scheduling and she works closely with both genders, all ages and different cultural backgrounds.
In her position as Diversity Coordinator at the Western Australian Football Commission (WAFC), she works closely with young children and adults who at times come from very challenging backgrounds.
She gains great pleasure and reward, watching them blossom through football. She
has worked hard over the past seven years to gain the respect and trust of Aboriginal

Amel Holic

Amel is a founding partner and Director at BlueSky, establishing the company with Rizal Farok in 2012. In his role as Software Developer, he is responsible for mapping out big picture solutions with clients, undertaking software analysis, infrastructure set-up management, scoping and building customer web development solutions, integrations and software maintenance.
Amel studied Computer Science at Curtin University of Technology, graduating with first class honours. His pursuit of excellence mean he’s committed to continuous improvement, both within the organisation and individually. Amel is a consistent reader, researcher and learner, undertaking further study with the Australian Computer Society and the Australian Institute of Management.
Within BlueSky Amel is migrating from back-end web development towards development and management. He has a particular focus on tools that support automated deployment and scaling such as AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
In his capacity as Director, Amel is a thoughtful, fair and conscientious leader. His naturally optimistic disposition brings an upbeat atmosphere to the office and he fosters a culture of appreciation.
Beyond work, Amel is a family man, married with three children. Friends and colleagues describe him as quiet, calm and sincere. He’s in his element when mentoring junior developers and delights in seeing their success. Ryan McDermott
Project Manager
Ryan joined the team in December 2020 as a work experience & contractor, and has since taken on a full-time role as a project manager. Ryan has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce with a major in Finance and Marketing, and subsequently working a variety of roles that range from a Corporate Tax Analyst in one of the big four to a Community Relations Officer at a charity in Fremantle. Ryan also has 5 years’ experience founding and managing consulting and corporate training organizations based in Perth, WA and Xiamen, Fujian, China, dealing with multiple SMEs in Australia and several large and listed organizations based in Fujian, China.
Having recently completed a Certificate IV in Programming focused on foundation units in C#, Java, PHP, MySQL HTML and CSS, Ryan is still focused on improving his skills in JavaScript and React.js and QA frameworks such as Mocha, Chai and WebDriver IO.
In his spare time Ryan enjoys watching movies, gardening, reading news and is a keen Linux enthusiast.


Ben Hewitt
Senior Software Engineer
Ben has been with the BlueSky team since 2014. As their full stack web developer, Ben works on both the front and back end of websites, including infrastructure, servers and android app development. He thrives in the supportive environment and likes nothing better than sinking his teeth into a challenging and exciting new project.
Ben has always had a passion for engineering and immediately took to programming at University. From there, Ben graduated with first class honours in his Engineering degree, specialising in Software Development. He and his team won Best Software Engineering project team in 2015.
An outdoor enthusiast, Ben loves nothing better than to escape into the bush hiking, four-wheel driving and camping with his wife and their friends. Ben lives in the Swan Valley, which he loves, his only regret being the lack of snowy mountains amongst the vineyards!


Sabin Adhikari
Computer Systems Engineer
Sabin has a Masters in Computer System Engineering, and considers himself a fullstack web developer, with a strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms. Before joining the BlueSky team, his main experience was working with plenty of Software as a Service (SaaS) based projects.
Sabin is known for his skills in developing applications using PHP and Angular JS, as well as building automated testing and deployment servers with AWS, Jenkins, and Docker. He actively seeks out new technologies and is updated on the latest industry trends and advancements.
When not at work, Sabin enjoys his sci-fi movies, to play or watch a game of soccer, and loves to toy around with electronic devices like your typical telephones and computers.


Alex Preston
Software Developer
Alex joined the team at BlueSky in 2020 as a work experience placement, but has since taken on a full time role as a software developer. He has a Degree (with Honours) in Mechanical Engineering, and spent 5 years as a Project Engineer mainly in the brewing and dairy industries – where he managed large, multi-million dollar projects dealing with the installations and commissioning of packaging lines for beer and milk products.
In that time, Alex cultivated an interest in programming, and began pursuing it in his spare time. He finally decided to switch careers at the end of 2019, and moved back to Perth from Sydney to follow this passion. Alex is currently undertaking a diploma course in Computer Science at UWA to help facilitate that switch from Engineering to Software.
When Alex isn’t thrashing the keys of his computer keyboard, he can be found smashing the drums playing in a number of bands. He also has a thirst for travel, having hiked all over North & South America, Europe, Nepal, and South East Asia – which are his favourite areas to explore.
